Yes if you only do one Midtown deck and care about the view south: Empire State front and center, Central Park over your shoulder from the north rail. The 70th-floor terrace has no glass or fencing at eye level — rare among US decks — so photos come out clean. It's also the most weather-flexible ticket in the city: timed entry, but multiple indoor tiers if wind bites.
Pick another deck if…
You want maximum height or thrill — Edge is 250 ft higher and hangs over the street; SUMMIT is the sensory spectacle. And if your visit centers on downtown (Statue of Liberty, 9/11 Memorial), One World Observatory is the geographically sensible pick instead.
