Obviously — it's the best price-to-spectacle ratio of any structure on this site, and if you're riding the Maid of the Mist you pass through it anyway. Treat the platform as a destination, not just the boat queue: walk to the far tip and give the two-falls panorama ten unhurried minutes.

You're on the Canadian side and not crossing — Canada's street-level views face the falls head-on and its Skylon Tower covers the aerial angle there. The US tower's case IS the US side: over the gorge, beside the American Falls, boat access below.

Early morning before the boat queues — the platform juts past the treeline for the only US-side angle that takes in both the American and Horseshoe Falls at once.
Hours: Year-round, daily roughly 8:30am–6pm (extends in summer). Only the Maid of the Mist boat is seasonal — the tower itself is not. · Pricing note: Nominal-to-free: historically ~$1.25, and the official park page currently lists no fee at all ('open to all visitors — boat ticket not required'). Always included with Maid of the Mist boarding — never pay twice.

- Combine deliberately: platform view first, then elevator down to the Maid of the Mist, then the Crow's Nest stairs at the American Falls' base — one ticket path, three altitudes of the same falls.
- Sunrise light comes from behind the US side — mornings favor the view INTO the gorge; rainbows over Horseshoe peak in afternoon mist.
